Russian Tortoise Pair

This established 11-year-old pair could make engaging companion animals for keepers prepared to provide proper tortoise care. Russian tortoises are one of the smaller commonly kept tortoise species, generally reaching about 5–10 inches as adults. They are active, curious animals that enjoy exploring and digging.

Russian tortoises are herbivores. Their diet should focus on a varied mix of leafy greens, weeds, and other suitable high-fiber plants. They need a spacious, secure enclosure with room to roam and burrow, along with appropriate heat and UVB lighting.

The female has laid eggs. Russian tortoises can live for decades, so they are a long-term commitment.
