Based in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island Reptile Enthusiasts is a welcoming business and community for anyone curious about reptiles and other exotic animals. Whether you are bringing home your first gecko or have kept reptiles for years, we are here to share knowledge, offer guidance, and remind you that there is no such thing as a silly question.

Through our Vancouver Island Reptile Enthusiasts Facebook Group, we have built a supportive community where people can learn, connect, and make informed choices for their animals. We do our best to help keepers understand the care, nutrition, habitat, and long-term commitment that exotic animals need to thrive.

We also breed a small, carefully selected number of high-lineage reptiles, with a primary focus on New Caledonian geckos. Our breeding program values strong structure, beautiful colour, health, personality, and dependable temperament. Every animal deserves a great start, and we want each new keeper to feel confident and supported.

Our passion goes beyond the animals themselves. We help people create proper custom bioactive enclosures that are functional, natural, and suited to the species living in them. From building a balanced ecosystem to choosing the right diet and husbandry routine, Vancouver Island Reptile Enthusiasts is here to guide you every step of the way.
